About BLHN
Black Legacy Homeowners Network (BLHN) is a Black-led, community-rooted program of Service Is A Lifestyle focused on helping Black homeowners stay, stabilize, and build intergenerational wealth.
Our Purpose
We support homeowners with practical, trusted pathways to protect homes and pass them on to the next generation. Our work centers families most impacted by displacement pressures, rising costs, and unequal access to resources.
What We Do
- Property tax exemption education and enrollment support
- Estate planning education and legal resource connections
- Home repair and housing-stability referrals
- Community meetings, office hours, and peer-to-peer support
How We Work
BLHN combines grassroots organizing with clear, action-based support. We partner with public agencies, legal professionals, housing advocates, and trusted local organizations so homeowners can move from information to outcomes.
Why It Matters
Keeping Black families in their homes protects community, culture, and economic stability. Every household stabilized helps preserve neighborhood legacy and strengthens long-term Black homeownership in King County.
Get Connected
If you are a homeowner, family member, community partner, or advocate, we invite you to connect with BLHN and build lasting impact together.
We are the legacy. We are the infrastructure. We are the solution.
Our Team
BLHN is powered by committed leadership, staff, and volunteers who help keep Black families connected to resources, strategy, and community.
