In our most recent BLHO community meetup on Sunday, November 19th, we engaged in discussions about normalizing talking about generational wealth among family and the importance of estate planning.
Event Highlights
The highlight of the program featured our informational booklet prepared in collaboration with Attorney Shanece Dedeaux, who presented valuable insights on Wills & Trusts at our October Meetup. The information was requested multiple times, leading to our highly anticipated follow-up conversation. Using the provided booklet and checklist, we discussed strategies for engaging in these important conversations.
At the end of the meeting, our Black Legacy Homeowners Ambassador Jacqueline Smith-Armstrong was presented with a special custom Black Legacy Homeowners hooded sweatshirt. The number on the front of the sweatshirt symbolizes that the home has been in Jacqueline's family for 76 years! As your fellow Black Legacy Homeowner, her tireless efforts to help build the network and engage homeowners is much appreciated!
