With over 28 years of leadership in Seattle Parks & Recreation and a lifetime of grassroots activism in the 37th District, Chukundi Salisbury saw the crisis in the Central District and realized that surviving wasn’t enough. In 2021, Chukundi founded the Black Legacy Homeowners Network (BLHN). Under his leadership, BLHN has grown from an advocacy group into a systemic powerhouse, launching the Black Homeownership Hub in partnership with the CDCPDA. Chukundi isn’t just fighting for today’s homeowners; he is securing the deeds for the generations yet to be born.
